New Obsessions

Ok, so I know it's been a while... and every day I honestly think, "hey, I should blog about this!"... but do I?  Of course not!  Haha.  So here's me trying to be a better blogger.

Anywhoos, I have become completely obsessed with a few new things that I thought I should share:

Follow Me on Pinterest1.  Pinterest.  People "pin" pictures and short descriptions of cool things they find on the web and you can follow your friends' boards, "re-pin" things you like to your own boards, or you can search for stuff and pin it, SO much fun.  It's like your own personal dream board of sorts.  It is seriously addicting!!  It is invitation only so if you don't already have an account and would like one, just let me know your email and I'll send you an invite... if you're already on Pinterest, then come follow me and we can be addicts together!

MyMemories2.  MyMemories.  I have always wanted to be a "scrapbooker" but traditional scrapbooking is so time consuming and expensive!  When I discovered DIGITAL scrapbooking, I said to myself I said, "Tiffany, this is SO up your alley.  You need this for Christmas!"  Haha.  I am so getting this for Christmas, whether I have to buy it for myself or not, I don't yet know, but I AM getting this for Christmas!  I've even already downloaded all the free kits and made a huge wish list of other packs and things that I want to buy.  I'm a nut, I know.

3.  Crafting.  Ok, so I've always had a bit of a creative side and it seems like lately I've wanted to really let loose and have some fun.  But this little apartment, and lack of resources, has really got me down... I will eventually own a sewing machine and when that day comes: WATCH OUT!!  For now though, I'm trying to curb my crafting appetite with no-sew projects.  Like these adorable fabric flowers!  The first time I ever saw these amazing creations was from TJ's Aunt Becky (who is one of my creative IDOLS!).  When I saw them on a bunch of her stuff I knew that I had to learn how to make them one day.  Then while surfing Pinterest (of course) for craft ideas I found these super easy instructions (here).  And here is my FIRST ever fabric flower!  I've got a ton of strips of fabric from cutting up old tops which I am saving for these quick and easy little babies.  I'm pretty sure that I will be attaching them to anything that I can.  Haha!

I've also gotten into making jewelry!  It is so fun, and feeds my creativity.  Here's a pair of earrings that I made out of FISHING supplies!  Super easy and really inexpensive!  I've got a big ball of hemp and a ton of beads that I've acquired, and have already made a bunch of fun stuff (sorry no pictures yet), so stay tuned for other jewelry adventures.  I have a bunch of other ideas of pretty things I want to make too, but have yet to get the supplies... they will be mine... eventually.  Haha.

4.  FOOD!  Mmmmm.  So I've been trying to branch out from the hum-drum dinners that we keep recycling.  TJ isn't a huge fan of experimenting with food, so I usually stick to a recipe when trying anything new, but sometimes I do a little tweaking... *wink*  I've also been trying to finally lose this darn baby weight and all the weight I gained before the baby.  So I've been trying to eat more healthy and get in more exercise.  This health kick helped me to finally brave using my food processor (which I've been having an irrational fear of ever since my dad sliced his hand open on my birthday several years ago, crazy story, if you want to know just ask)... and made homemade HUMMUS!!  It is so yummy and I've been using it a lot!  Instead of mayo on my sandwich, instead of ranch for my carrot sticks.  TJ even said it wasn't that bad... and for someone who's not a health-nut, that's sayin' somethin'!  Haha.  This was my lunch the other day, and I felt so good eating it!

So that's just a little glimpse into what I've been obsessed with lately.  I am REALLY going to try and get on here more often with updates on our little family, what we've been up to, and just fun things that make me smile.  I promise!  Until next time...

Warmest Wishes,
Tiffany
